Galicia is home. It’s where my relationship with fishing became more than a hobby and turned into a way of seeing the sea.   I started fishing rivers when I was 12, learning patience, observation, and how fish react to subtle changes in light and flow. By 18, I was fully committed to the sea—saltwater, swell, wind shifts, and the kind of sessions where you earn every bite. Over time, I realised that the difference between an average day and an unforgettable one is rarely luck. It’s preparation and reading the water: understanding what the sea is doing today, and what it will likely do tomorrow.

  That’s why tides and moon phases matter so much to me. In Galicia, you can feel how the coast “breathes” with the tide. Current lines form, bait gathers, predators patrol edges, and everything changes by the hour. The moon influences more than the night sky—stronger tidal movement, different feeding windows, different behaviour. I track these patterns constantly because they repeat, but never in exactly the same way. The best fishing isn’t just about being in a famous spot—it’s about being there on the right week, in the right hour, with the right angle, while the sea is “alive”.

  This mindset is also what I bring to my work with clients. My job isn’t simply to take people fishing—it’s to choose the best weeks and conditions so their travel time turns into real opportunity. Whether it’s big-water jigging, popping, or inshore sessions, I plan around moon phases, tides, wind direction, current strength, water clarity, and fish activity. The goal is always the same: stack the odds in our favour before we even step on the boat.

  Gear matters, but only as a tool for execution. What really drives results is decision-making: when to be patient, when to push, when to reset, and when to fish with total commitment. In strong current or changing conditions, a small adjustment—leader choice, hook setup, casting angle, drift speed—can be the difference between a missed chance and a solid connection.
