My name is Pablo Campo, and I’ve been chasing fish since I was 18 years old. It started the way it does for a lot of fly fishermen — small rivers, big dreams, and an obsession with trout. I fished my way across most of Central Europe, from the gin-clear streams of the Alps to rivers most maps don’t even bother naming. For years, that was enough.
Then it wasn’t.
Europe got too small. So I packed a rod bag and bought a one-way ticket to Argentine Patagonia. That trip changed everything. Standing in that wind, with that scale of wilderness in front of me, something clicked: this wasn’t just about trout anymore. It was about the chase itself — new water, new species, new frontiers. That’s the moment my passion for remote fishing trips turned into a way of life, and eventually, into Sparidae.

Me llamo Pablo Campo y llevo pescando desde los 18 años. Empezó como le pasa a muchos pescadores a mosca: ríos pequeños, grandes sueños y una obsesión por la trucha. When we set our sights on Panama, we didn’t open a booking page and start taking deposits. We packed our bags and spent a full month on the ground — running the coast, testing zones, meeting fishermen in every port town, fishing day after day until we found it: the right area, the right captains, the right setup. Only then did we build the operation.
The result? Roosterfish, tuna, and trophy catches that validate every hour of that search. That’s our modus operandi — not just in Panama, but everywhere Sparidae sets foot. Small-group fishing trips built on weeks of groundwork, not guesswork.
