INCREDIBLE BANKS GT FISHING REPORT —
ANDAMAN SEA APRIL 2026
Six days of long-range. Five completed. Four days on the Incredible Banks. Fifty-plus GTs. Two above 40kg. Giant sailfish. Barracuda of another scale entirely. One of the best weeks Sparidae has ever fished in the Andaman Sea.
Incredible Banks, Andaman Sea — April 2026 · Sparidae Fishing Expeditions
The week was planned as six long-range days. Five were completed. Four of those five reached the Incredible Banks — and those four days produced the kind of fishing that, even after years of running expeditions in the Andaman Sea, still stops you.
The navigation is demanding — two to two and a half hours each way, open water, full commitment every morning before the first cast. But that navigation is exactly why Andaman GT popping April 2026 delivers what it delivers. You are reaching spots that see almost no pressure. Fish that have rarely encountered a lure. When a popper lands in that water and a GT rises to take it, it does so with a violence unlike anything you will find in pressured fisheries.
Incredible Banks — GT sobre 40kg · April 2026
This group fished hard. Every long-range day was treated as an opportunity — early start, consistent effort, varied presentation throughout the session. The results made this an Incredible Banks 50 GT week to remember: more than fifty Giant Trevally landed, the majority of good size, with a significant number above 30 kilograms.
Two fish stood apart entirely: both above 40 kilograms, the finest GT of the trip. One a black GT — a colour morph that is rare and immediately recognisable — the other taken on a black lure presentation. Both released.
Day 5 on the Incredible Banks — the numbers speak for themselves
"Fifty-plus GTs in one week. Two above 40kg. Giant sailfish. Barracuda of a size that makes you question what you are looking at. This was the best week we have had on the Incredible Banks."
Volcano Island — Yellowfin, Tuna & Everything In Between
One day was dedicated to fishing around Volcano Island itself — a change of scene after the intensity of the Banks. This was arguably the Volcano Island best week fishing 2026 could offer: yellowfin tuna showing on the surface, a variety of reef and pelagic species, and the backdrop of the active volcano that makes this destination unlike anything else in the Indian Ocean.
It was a day to breathe, fish differently, and appreciate the full range of what the Andaman holds when you give it the time.

Incredible Banks GT Fishing Report — Sailfish, Barracuda & The Numbers
The Incredible Banks GT fishing across the four dedicated days produced a species list well beyond the GT count. This was genuine Andaman sailfish barracuda popping 2026 at its finest: giant barracuda taking poppers at speed with regularity, and on at least one session a giant sailfish showed on the surface.
A reminder that the Incredible Banks is not a GT-only fishery — it is a section of ocean that holds apex predators across every category. The untouched nature of these banks is the defining factor. Fifty-plus GTs in a week is a number that is difficult to achieve anywhere in the world. On the Incredible Banks, with the right conditions and commitment, it becomes possible.
